What is WindsorCT250?
Windsor250 is Windsor, Connecticut’s local commemoration of the 250th anniversary (Semiquincentennial) of the Declaration of Independence.
It will encourage public programs that:
- tell inclusive stories
- explore the power of place
- do history with all residents
- are for “the common good”
Who is organizing WindsorCT250?
Windsor Historical Society, Town of Windsor government, and local civic and cultural volunteer groups.
When and where are events held?
- Dates: February through December 2026 (peak activities around July 2026).
- Venues: Windsor Town Green, Windsor Public Library, Oliver Ellsworth Homestead, Windsor Historical Society, and other locations around town.
How can I participate?
- Volunteer: contact info@windsorhistoricalsociety.org to help plan and run events, raise funds, promotion, or assist with setup and cleanup.
- Support: Sponsor an event or program or attend a program and bring a friend or neighbor.
- Engage: Follow Windsor250 on social media, subscribe to email updates at windsorhistoricalsociety.org, and share photos using #WindsorCT250.
